the philosophy

The plant-based movement is gaining momentum. More and more people are realising that a plant-forward diet makes perfect, logical sense - improving our health, performance, and recovery, and protecting the environment and animals, all by how we choose to eat. There is a future where the demand for meat and animal products drops drastically, which will lead to a much healthier planet and a much healthier population. The philosophy of Meat Free Fitness is to help us get to that stage quicker.

How? By helping as many people as possible to lead by example. I love helping clients bring on their A-game and take their health and fitness to the next level. When others see the results that a well balanced plant-based diet brings, it helps to quash any preconceptions about vegan diets, and they can see for themselves how fit and healthy you can be without eating meat. That’s one of the most effective ways to spread the message. I hope to help empower thousands of athletes, at all levels of ability across the globe, by working directly with them, through my book The Plant-Based Power Plan, and through all the free resources found on this website.

On this website you’ll find loads of delicious plant-based recipes, nutrition information, plus fitness and lifestyle tips to help you on your meat-free journey. Meat Free Fitness is all about providing the most trustworthy and unbiased information, by critically analysing the latest scientific evidence and literature.

Googling any nutrition question results in conflicting messages and clashing opinions. I want to bring you the best advice by cutting through the noise and telling you what the best science and research shows. Sometimes, this means sitting on the fence a little on certain subjects. But that’s ok, because the science isn’t always clear-cut and everyone’s needs are different. In fact, when people have very strong opinions about a topic, that’s often a sign that there’s some bias or that they haven’t fully considered both sides of the argument.
